Core faculty are internationally recognized scholar-practitioners in areas of ecosystem science, biodiversity maintenance, ecological economics, global environmental change and natural resource conservation. Additional faculty affiliated with the program add extensive depth in areas of environmental law, coastal resource management, demographic science and policy, environmental history, hydrology and water resource management, environmental health, urban planning, impact assessment, geographic information systems (GIS), rural sociology, toxics use reduction, negotiations and conflict resolution, stochastic modeling of environmental processes, international trade and environmental impacts, and global biogeochemistry.
