A colloquium on the upsurge of violence of various kinds in Mexico. The conference will address key questions of violence, drug trafficking, gender inequities, social mobilization, governance, and grassroots organization in moments of crisis, with keynote addresses to be delivered by journalist Alma Guillermoprieto and political scientist Denise Dresser.
