La Última Cena

In this film, which is based on an incident from 18th century Cuban history, a Havana sugar plantation owner decides to instruct his slaves in the tenets of Christianity by inviting twelve of them to a reenactment of the Last Supper.

Cuba Feliz (music documentary)

Seventy-six-year-old Cuban street musician Miguel Del Morales, known as El Gallo (The Rooster), travels around Cuba with his guitar, making music in the homes of friends, in bars, on street corners, in courtyards, and stairwells. "Cuba Feliz" was an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival.

El Súper

Slice of life look at Roberto and Aurelia, Cuban exiles living in New York City with their 17-year-old daughter Aurelita.
Shot on a shoestring budget, El Súper is still considered to be the definitive film about the Cuban exile experience.

Cuban Hip Hop All Stars (music documentary)
Directed by Joshua Bee Alafia, 2004
In this documentary, filmmaker Joshua Bee Alafia examines Havana's burgeoning hip hop scene and the 1999 recording of a groundbreaking compilation of a dozen hip hop groups, whose music has been deemed at times by Cuban authorities as counter-revolutionary. Cuban hip hop incorporates instruments such as batas (tall drums), congas, live drums, guitar bass, and rumba, salsa, and mambo influences.

Vampiros En La Habana (animation)

In this animated film, a Cuban scientist invents a potion that allows vampires to be able to live in the sunlight, which sparks a battle between American and the East European vampires for control of the potion.
