The Center for Latin American Studies is a U.S. Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center sponsoring interdisciplinary research and teaching on Latin America and the Caribbean. It is celebrating its 35th year as an academic concentration and its 25th year as a formal academic program at Brown.

The Organization of American States announces its Rowe Fund Student Loan Program to help citizens from Latin America and Caribbean OAS Member States finance their studies in universities across the United States through the awarding of interest free loans.
