Professor Melani Cammett of Brown’s Political Science Department will moderate the panel, which includes:

Professor Edmund Ghareeb, a specialist on Iraqi Kurds; Mustafa Barzani Distinguished Scholar in Global Kurdish Studies and Adjunct Professor of Middle East History, American University

Dr. Eric Hooglund, specialist on Iranian Kurds; Editor, Critique: Critical Middle Eastern Studies

Dr. Mohammad Sabir, U.S. Representative, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Kurdistan Regional Government, Suleimaniya

Mr. Nijyar Shemdin, U.S. Representative, Kurdistan Regional Government, Erbil

Professor M. Hakan Yavuz, specialist on Turkish Kurds; Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, The Middle East Center, University of Utah
