Henry Jimenez, from Colombia, was a Watson Scholar in 2001. He is the Director of Technological Programs in Ecology and Environmental Management and Soil and Water Management at the Universidad del Valle - Cali, Colombia. These two new programs compliment and expand upon his long-term experience as a professor of hydrology and water resources at the same university.
Mr. Jimenez is a member of IREHISA, a research group in land development and water resources management at the Universidad del Valle. This group works on projects related to climate change impact in tropical zones.
Mr. Jimenez received his undergraduate degree in agricultural engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He also holds an Msc. in Agricultural Engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina, and has participated in many advanced training programs related to hydrology and water resource management.
