Mrs. Gaudensia Aomo Owino, a 2009 Watson International Scholar of the Environment, is a research scientist at the Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute. She has an MSc in environmental studies (natural resource management and pollution control) from Kenyatta University, Kenya, and a BSc in wood science and technology (forest resource utilization) from Moi University, Kenya.
