NayamaaTumenbayar was a 2002 Watson International Scholar of the Environment, An attorney by profession, Ms.Tumenbayar worked for the Parliament of Mongolia for almost 10 years advising on a wide range of legal matters during the law-making process. Particularly she was engaged in developing Mongolia’s new package of environmental laws including land management, biodiversity conservation, protection against hazardous waste, and air quality.
She is active in the NGO movement in Mongolia and a board member of three NGOs, including the Women Lawyers Association of Mongolia.
