We are proud to announce that Bill Rhodes was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from Latin Finance magazine on Saturday, April 5, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Bill celebrated his 50th anniversary with Citi in 2007 and has had a remarkable impact on this institution. Bill's renown as an international financial diplomat and the critical role he has played in sovereign risk restructuring throughout his career has left an indelible mark on the global financial community.
Some of Bill's recent awards include being honored by the American Israel Friendship League, being presented the Colombian Order of San Carlos by Colombia's President Uribe, and The Banker's "Lifetime Achievement Award."
Bill's pioneered Citi's opening in Eastern and Central Europe; has worked tirelessly on the economic development of emerging markets, particularly China in recent years; and is dedicated to mentoring our colleagues around the world.
Bill continues to play a valuable role at Citi as senior international officer and serving as Citi's representative to government officials around the world. Bill also serves as Chairman, CEO and President of Citibank, N.A, and Senior Vice Chairman of Citi. In addition, Bill is actively involved in promoting free trade as chairman of the Council of Americas and the U.S.-Korea Business Council.
